Sunday's Bills overtime loss to the Falcons in Toronto still lingering a bit. The toughest loss to stomach this year and in the Toronto series. And a game that likely knocked them out of the post season yet again.
A matter of what if at this point. The big two - what if Stevie Johnson didn't fumble near the end of regulation? If not that, what if Scott Chandler then didn't fumble at the start of overtime? After a night to sleep on it, both players addressed the media one more time before moving on. Both with different views.
"Once again, with those plays, mine and Scott's, you catch the ball a hundred times and tuck it the same way," Johnson said. "It's not like the ball was loose from our bodies, even Scott's was even up here. It just so happened to be a good play by the defender."
"You gotta lock it away," Chandler said. "They did a good job of hitting the ball but if you lock the ball away, they're not going to get it out. I think we would both say that we could've done a better job there, obviously. If we make those plays, we probably win the game. It hurts to be here right now not having made that play, but got another chance this week."
