A rather light week for the Sabres following a very busy one last week. Just two games coming up, Thursday they host the Rangers, Saturday they're at Montreal.
The team back on the ice after getting Sunday off. A bit of a different wrinkle Monday, with a focus on skating. The players worked with their skating coach as a group prior to practice, working to develop good habits.
"We brought our power skater out to fine tune that and revisit some of the things the players used to do," interim coach Ted Nolan said. "Talking to some of the older players, some of the things they used to do when they're younger they don't quite do as naturally as they do now. It's just a reminder. It's just like anything, working on your passing, working on your shooting, and we gotta work on our skating."
"You just try to take a few points, maybe exaggerate knee bend for example, just one little point you can take away from her," defenseman Mark Pysyk said. "It's not going to be the same thing for everybody in a group setting like that, but it's good to get out there, work, and try something new."
