The Bills continued training camp with another morning session Wednesday. Mario Williams was back on the field, but not practicing.
Williams and his injured foot were back on campus at St. John Fisher. The injured foot is his left one.
The high-priced defensive end was in full pads like every other player to start practice. He and tight end Scott Chandler worked out with trainers early on.
Mario may bit out a bit longer. The foot injury doesn't appear to be anything serious, but it remains unclear what's wrong and how much time he'll miss.
"I’d love to be out there obviously, but like I said this is precaution and I’m just following orders," Williams said.
"Our medical staff with additional consultation with Dr. Anderson determined that the best course of action was rest and treatment, and really there is no timetable for his return but it’s day-by-day," said head coach Doug Marrone.
More rest Thursday for Mario and everyone else, as it's the first scheduled off day of camp. The Bills will be back at it Friday morning.
