Is there anything for NHL fans to be thankful for? Not yet. It does appear that the sides are moving closer together, but a large gap remains and it's unknown what the coming week will hold.
For the second straight year, the Leggio family has something to be thankful for in Williamsville. Dave Leggio is performing well in his second season as the Rochester Americans goaltender. The St. Joe's grad is 8-and-5 with 289 goals against average and a 911 save percentage. At 28, he seems to have his eyes focused on the NHL and believes the Sabres organization is giving him the tools to get there.
“My goalie coach and I, Bob Janoz, we speak a lot. We're always going over game tape and working in practice on how to get better, how to improve, and how to get to the next level. It's the same thing with Jim Corsi and the coaching staff. You get quite a bit of feedback. The Buffalo Sabres organization is second to none in terms of giving you the tools to develop. We have tons of resources at our finger tips that a lot of teams don't have. It's on you if you don't get better,” Leggio said.
