The Eastman School of Music has reason to celebrate following last night's Grammy Awards.

A total of five Eastman graduates took home honors.

Earlier in the week Kent Knappenberger won the inaugural Music Educator Award. Knappenberger graduated from Eastman in 1989 and has been a music teacher and choir director at a Buffalo-area school for the last 25 years. He was one of 10 finalists for the award.

Other winners include Bob Ludwig, who won four Grammy awards for his work with Daft Punk. Maria Schneider won a Grammy for Best Contemporary Classical Composition and Martha Cluver and Eric Dudley took home the award for Best Chamber Music, Small Ensemble performance.
