A Fairport man was taken to the hospital early Saturday morning after police say he went off the road into a ravine after driving the wrong way on Route 490.
YNN was told a police officer spotted the car driving the wrong direction on Route 490 near Clinton Avenue around 5:30 a.m.
The officer then saw the vehicle leave the roadway and come to rest in a ravine between the 390, 490 split.
The 60-year-old driver appeared to be uninjured, but was taken to Strong Hospital for precaution.
Police believe alcohol may have been a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
