FAIRPORT, N.Y. -- The 10th Annual Fairport Music and Food Festival continued through the weekend to benefit the Golisano Children's Hospital at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
Since it began a decade ago, more than 630,000 dollars has been raised in support of the sick and injured kids. The festival has provided funding for various equipment at the hospital. This year’s proceeds will go toward the pediatric playroom in the new building as well.
"Seems like only yesterday that we did our first, our inaugural music festival event to raise money for the Children's Hospital and, somehow it just seemed like a good idea we'd keep on going and here we are 10 years later," said co-organizer Andy McDermott.
More than twenty bands performed on three different stages at this year's event.
