BRIGHTON, N.Y. -- A man fell through a hole in the floor and landed in the basement Monday morning at the Brighton Central Schools Administrative Office building on Monroe Avenue.
Fire crews said the man fell about 10 feet, but he is expected to recover from his injuries.
"The paramedic was with him and he was stable, conscious, talking to them," said Brighton Fire Chief Stephen McAdam. "A lot of the time was setting up a rigging system to get him through the access point we had."
It took about 40 minutes for crews to reach the victim and pull him to safety.
The Brighton Police Department is investigating.
