ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- Signs around Rochester's Park Avenue neighborhood have been posted to help Park Ave festivalgoers avoid a ticket this weekend.
Neighborhood streets have parking permitted on one side only, which leads to a lot of confusion during the popular festival.
The Park Avenue Neighborhood Association puts up the signs to prevent double parking and to allow room for emergency vehicles to get through.
"It's actually very important because otherwise people will be parking just anywhere they can find a spot and sometimes the normal parking signs are just really a little bit difficult to interpret," said Peggy Braitsch, Park Avenue Neighborhood Association.
Residents said the signage has helped alleviate many parking problems during past festivals.
