Monroe County Clerk Says Scammer is Impersonating Clerk's Office Employees

ROCHESTER, N.Y. -- The Monroe County Clerk said someone is calling residents and impersonating clerk's office employees as part of a scam.

According to Cheryl Dinolfo, the scammer tells the target that an arrest warrant will be issued for their arrest if they fail to call an out-of-state phone number that same day with payment.

“It is very important for residents to know that the Clerk’s Office does not make phone calls pertaining to warrants or demanding that anyone make payment over the phone. If you receive this phone call, do not return the call and never send money to an unknown caller who demands payment.” ClientIP:,, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
