NIAGARA FALLS, Ontario -- The Queen of Soul said she didn't get any R-E-S-P-E-C-T at a restaurant in Canada after her sold-out show at Artpark in Lewiston this past week.
A spokesperson for Aretha Franklin said the singer bought a hamburger at Johnny Rockets on Fallsview Boulevard as a takeout order. She was screamed at by a server when she tried to eat it inside the restaurant.
Franklin said the worker was very rude, unprofessional and nasty. A Johnny Rockets spokesperson said the franchise owner apologizes for the actions of a "new and very young employee."
The owner has also clarified his takeout policies after speaking with the server.
