An upcoming mega garage sale will help out a Penfield woman who is continuing her fight against Clear Cell Sarcoma.
Half of the people diagnosed don't survive more than five years, but Carolina DeHond was diagnosed back in 2008.
In May, Carolina learned the cancer had spread to her lungs and ovaries. She had another surgery and is now out of the hospital.
Carolina plans to travel back there to Germany next week for an experimental treatment, and her family and the community is raising money through the yard sale to help cover the costs.
Carolina's father, Juan Contreras, joined us Thursday to talk about the sale, which is all day Sunday at the Rochester Public Market. He also runs Juan's Empanada Stop there.
