BUFFALO, N.Y. -- One group of Bills fans is making it clear that Jon Bon Jovi gives love a bad name - when it comes to their team.
The group 12th Man Thunder is calling for local bars, restaurants and businesses to pledge that they stop playing any music by the rock star, who is considering purchasing the Bills and move them to Toronto.
It's offering free signs to any who take the pledge.
The group's co-founder said after recent reports that some owners are fond of Bon Jovi buying the team, it's up to Western New Yorkers to make it clear that the team must stay here, even if they're living on a prayer.
"Someone's coming here and trying to take our team away," said Charles Pellien. "The team is our identity, it's our source of civic pride. It's going to be devastating to the city for Bills fans, so we're going to do whatever we can, whether it's little or whether it's big. Whatever we can to prevent it from happening and put some resistance in the way."
12th Man Thunder also has a petition on their website for keeping the team in Buffalo.
