MIDDLEBURY, N.Y. — Police said a man was stabbed during a fight at a campsite in Wyoming County, and was then driven to the hospital.
Richard Gross, 26, of Byron, Genesee County is accused of stabbing another 26-year-old man with a hunting knife during an argument.
According to State Police, troopers responded to Wyoming County Community Hospital, where the victim had been taken to, around 4 a.m. Sunday.
The victim has a collapsed lung and was taken by helicopter to a Rochester hospital. Police said the victim is in satisfactory condition.
Gross is charged with assault. He was taken to the Wyoming County Jail, and bail was set at $50,000.
