Deputy Fire Chief Injured in Crash Released From Hospital

The Rochester Deputy Fire Chief seriously injured in a crash on has been discharged from Strong Memorial Hospital.

On the Friday after Thanksgiving, Martin McMillan was driving on East Main near Ohio Street in Rochester when a driver being chased by police crashed into his vehicle.

McMillan's colleagues say he suffered three broken vertebrae and internal injuries.

Police say Charles Domicello, 48, and two other suspects shoplifted from a Wayne County Walmart and liquor store.

Officers say the chase started when Domicello tried to hit a police car and left the scene, leading a chase from Macedon to Rochester. He's facing 11 charges including reckless endangerment, assault, and unlawful fleeing from a police officer in a motor vehicle.
