A Rochester City Court Judge officially dismissed disorderly conduct charges Wednesday against three Edison Tech students.

The trio was arrested last month at the corner of North Clinton Avenue and East Main Street.

Attorneys for Daequon Carelock, Raliek Redd and Wan'tauhjs Weathers said the teens were waiting to catch a bus for a basketball scrimmage at the time of their arrest.

Rochester Police said officers ordered the teens to leave the area and when they refused, they were arrested.

"The officer calls it an lawful order to disperse, and I've got to question the officer's opinion of what's lawful," said Defense Attorney Peter Pullano. "Just because he's a cop doesn't mean he can make you stop waiting for a bus. He really didn't have, I don't think, any standing to do what he did and from there, to run them downtown, to do everything that he did I think frankly an overreaction on the part of the officer. I think he was wrong. "

District Attorney Sandra Doorley asked that the charges be dismissed. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
