The storm that started in Texas has made its way to the East Coast, leaving some travelers in limbo.

With major airports, such as Philadelphia and Chicago canceling flights, some travelers in our area have been left with little options.

Med-school-hopeful Eric Goold is a student from Salt Lake City and is missing finals because of canceled flights. Goold came to Rochester for an interview at the University of Rochester Medical Center. He spent last night sleeping in the airport and can't catch another flight until Tuesday. Goold has no credit cards or cash.

"Someone overheard me talking and talked to some people in the airport and gathered a bunch of money and came over and said, 'Hey, we'd love to give you this money because we heard you don't have anywhere to stay and it's really harsh conditions," Goold said. "It'd be great if you could go somewhere to eat and go somewhere to stay.' It was really sweet but I just couldn't bring myself to accept it."

Travelers are urged to call ahead to check their flight statuses. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
