A student success expert paid a visit to the Edgerton Community Center to motivate local students.

The event, organized by the Youth Services Quality Council, addressed issues facing today's youth. As part of the 20th annual meeting for the council, Arel Moodie was invited to address Rochester City School District students.

Along with food, entertainment and discussion, Moodie gave the students advice about making the most out of their academic career.

"The whole focus around making sure that young people are successful, both academically, with life skills and the ability to see that they do have a future and they can achieve success," explained Danette Campbell-Bell, co-chair YSQC. "Given the right environment, the right supports and given the right tools, that anything is possible."

Moodie was named to Inc. Magazine's "30 Under 30" list of young entrepreneurs. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
