A man convicted of sexual abuse following an unusual incident in which he fondled children's feet inside a public library is headed to prison.
A county court judge sentenced Anthony Perri to 21 years in state prison Thursday. Perri was arrested in July, 2012. He was convicted in October of sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.
Prosecutors say Perri fondled the feet of three children in the Penfield Public Library for the purpose of sexual gratification. In addition to time behind bars, Perri will serve 10 years post release supervision and must register as a sex offender.
Perri has a previous conviction for shooting an employee of a Manhattan ice cream shop back in 1986. He was released from prison in 1996.
