Fast Food Workers to Protest Nationwide

  • Text size: + -

Fast-food workers in about 100 cities including some in Rochester will walk off the job Thursday.

It's expected to be the largest effort yet in a push for higher pay for workers.

Thursday's protests are part of a campaign that started about a year ago to call attention to the difficulties of living on the federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour or about $15,000 a year for a full-time employee.

Protesters are calling for a raise to $15 an hour. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
