BUFFALO, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills played host to 350 local area students Tuesday for their Play 60 Challenge Fitness Party.
The Play 60 initiative encourages kids to get 60 minutes of physical activity every day.
The Fitness Party is a way for the players to give back to the community by teaching kids some of the football fundamentals, including passing, catching and kicking.
In order to attend the event students had to show their dedication to fitness by completing the Play 60 Challenge in their classrooms.
Members of the Bills say the team is dedicated to helping the area's children get healthier.
"We need parents to take the game systems away sometimes and tell them to get out there, have fun for 60 minutes," said Marcell Dareus, Buffalo Bills Defensive Tackle.
This event was made possible by partnerships with BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and the American Heart Association.
