MONROE COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Monroe County Grand Jury indicted two men for second-degree murder in connection with a fatal shooting in August.

Both men pleaded not guilty to the charges in court Tuesday.

Dominic Flowers and Xavier Nelson are charged with second degree murder and assault.

Prosecutors say the two men fired into a crowd on South Plymouth Avenue August 18th.

Willie Little, 59, was shot and rushed to Strong Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Little was an Air Force Veteran, retired Sheet Metal Worker and Grandfather.

"Completely innocent bystanders. The allegation is that Mr. Flowers and Mr. Nelson fired a number of shots at a group of people and these bystanders were struck not guilty of any wrong-doing simply in the wrong place at the wrong time," said Patrick Farrell, Asst. District Attorney.

"I will talk to my client; it is a new case, unsealed. The prosecution could not even tell me the allegations against Mr. Flowers until we just appeared on the record in court," said James Vacca, Defense Attorney.

Both men remain in jail and will return to court in January. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
