Guests walking through Sonnenberg Gardens and Mansion Historic Park on Sunday night were taken on a half-mile stroll filled with spirits and spooky tales.
Guides on the haunted garden stroll told stories from Sonnenberg's 126-year past.
Guests say ghosts that they've previously seen on the grounds showed up for the walk. Several witches and goblins made appearances as well.
"There's always been ghost stories so we're trying to bring some of those ghost stories to life," said Judy Smith, Sonnenberg Event Coordinator. "Like there's been a lady wondering the grounds for years, so she's going to be here. We had a General who was visiting the Thompsons, he died in the mansion and some very credible people have seen his ghost in the mansion."
Smith says the event is not only good for the community, but it helps with operational costs.
Ideally, Sonnenberg Gardens will host the haunted walk again next year as well.
