Hundreds of people came out to Victor Sunday to celebrate the abilities of adults and children with special needs.
The annual Al Sigl Community WalkAbout at Eastview Mall benefits Rochester Hearing and Speech Center and six other Al Sigl partner agencies.
These agencies become a critical piece of the support network for the family and friends of its clients to help them become active members of their families and communities.
"We all get together on a day like today and celebrate these agencies and the over 55,000 people they serve every year, children and adults. The goal for these agencies is to help these clients turn their disabilities into abilities," said John Lynch co-chair of WalkAbout.
The WalkAbout event hopes to raise over $100,000 to support the Al Sigl Community of Agencies and to provide the needed resources to help the mission of those six agencies.
