ALBION, N.Y.--Emergency managers in Orleans County gave people in Albion the all clear to leave their homes Thursday night, after they were told to stay inside as a large warehouse burned, sending massive flames into the sky.
The flames broke out at Orleans Pallet Company on West Avenue. It took several hours for crews to get the fire under control. At least seven fire departments were called in to help.
Police say their biggest concern was making sure the building did not collapse.
"There's no injuries that have been reported, everyone has been pretty much accounted for, and there is no concern at this point that there is anyone not accounted for," said Chief Roland Nenni with the Albion Police Department.
Firefighters believe the flames started on the second floor of the building, and believe it was accidental. Investigators continue to look for a cause.
