The Rochester City School District says it has room for more kids in its Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program.
UPK takes place every weekday, and it's free for Rochester four-year-olds.
The district has 80 openings available at its agency locations.
Children have two and a half hours of instruction and activities each school day. The UPK program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Educators say it has a positive impact on student learning.
If the remaining openings are not filled, the district says it could lose state funding for the program.
