Police Looking for Bank Robbery Suspect

  • Text size: + -

Irondequoit police are looking for a suspect in a Monday morning bank robbery.

It happened about 10 a.m. at the ESL Federal Credit Union on East Ridge Road.

Police say the man handed the teller a note demanding cash. He then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police say they believe a red-dye pack hidden in the money may have exploded and the suspect and his clothing may be stained with the dye.

Police are also checking area hospitals in case the suspect was injured when the dye-pack went off. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
