Irondequoit Town Board May Address Library Lawsuit Tuesday

  • Text size: + -

The Irondequoit Town Board may address some issues with the town's vote on a new library Tuesday evening in the board's monthly meeting.

In April, Irondequoit voters okayed the new centralized library on the Town Hall Campus on Titus Avenue. It would replace two smaller outdated libraries; one on the west side of town on Cooper Road, the other on the east side on Ridge Road.

But a former member of the town board and planning board says the town failed to do a legal environmental study in the proper time-frame.

There is a lawsuit in progress.
