The president and CEO of the Western Region Off Track Betting Association says a casino in Henrietta is not possible.
Last week, the Seneca Nation of Indians announced plans for a gaming and hospitality development in Henrietta.
Michael Kane, the president and CEO of WROTB, said he does not feel there is any possibility that these plans will go through.
"If you look at the gaming contract that the Seneca Nation presently has with New York State, the ability to put another casino west of Route 14 does not exist, and so I think it's a moot point," said Kane.
Kane said the new casino would have a negative effect on Batavia, Finger Lakes, and revenue that's derived for education that goes to the Gaming Commission.
