The I-Square project in Irondequoit continues to take shape at the corner of Titus Avenue and Cooper Road. The community is invited to be a part of the next phase of construction.
The Nolan's, the Irondequoit residents who own the I-Square project and its future community center, amphitheater, restaurants and retail, are making this next phase in construction something the public can be included in.
The community is invited to purchase 8x8 pavers that will be set in front of I-Square's future outdoor stage. Each paver will be engraved with your own message that's up to 45 characters. Each paver sponsorship costs $100. Proceeds will help build the stage and seating. They are only 800 of them.
"We thought it would be a great way to honor the different people of Irondequoit and it's been really because of the different types of messages we're getting," I-Square developer Mike Nolan said. "Everything from Congratulations Mike and Wendy, to 'life really is better now in Irondequoit,' to people commemorating an event or something going on or a person. It's been really cool to see the different orders come in and what people are printing on them. A lot of creativity."
The paver order form can be found at the I-Square offices at 693 Titus Avenue or online at I-Square.us.
