Pro Athletes Show Support for Wheatland Crash Victims

The story of the fatal crash in Wheatland on Tuesday is drawing attention from professional athletes in social media.

A Cal-Mum student sent a tweet to Boston Celtic player Rajon Rondo, saying that he was Emily Peterson's favorite player. Rondo re-tweeted the hashtag "RondoforCMStrong."

The hashtag got the attention of some Buffalo Bills. Defensive End Mario Williams sent out a tweet saying quote, "Heard about the tragic accident involving students from C-M High. The students & their families are in my prayers."

Wide receiver Stevie Johnson also tweeted, "also seen tweets about a young lady that recently passed away from C-M High. unfortunate happenings man."

Emily Peterson died from her injuries on Friday, making her the third fatality in the crash.
