With heightened security following the Boston explosions, thousands of marathon participants and fans had difficulty getting out of Boston.
YNN was at the Greater Rochester International Airport as a flight from Boston arrived Tuesday morning. There were several people from the Rochester area on the flight, but they declined to comment about what happened. The rest of the passengers were from Boston that were here on business.
Michael Primes from Andover, Massachusetts, says he was at the marathon watching his brother run. Primes says his brother finished about an hour before the explosions took place.
"It still has not set in yet. I go there every year, I have the same spot every year and we have pictures of him at the finish line and you seen our flag poles in the picture and an hour later, you see those flag poles all over the place," said Primes.
Security officials at the airport say they are working under heightened alert; however, the average passenger will not see anything different.
