An Irondequoit man is under arrest, accused of leaving the scene of an accident after he hit a man with his car.

Police arrested 30-year-old Michael T. Hanna after he called 911 saying he was the driver that struck the man on East Avenue in Pittsford.

The victim, 26 year old Vaughn Steele of Penfield, was found lying in the grass on East Avenue just east of Kilbourn Road on Monday. He was taken to Strong Hospital, where he died.

Hanna was arraigned and released on $1,000 bail. He was also ticketed for driving an unregistered vehicle.
