A new program is available for African-American males who dropped out of high school.

Operation Transformation provides these men the opportunity to get their GED, along with vocational training.

Operation Transformation works in conjunction with the Rochester Educational Opportunity Center, helping these men turn their lives around. The program is tuition free and offers men between the ages of 18 and 30 vocational training for careers in barbering, culinary arts, nursing, and other certified fields.

"Many of our young men in the city of Rochester are frustrated because they do not believe there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Operation Transformation's goal is to offer both vocational and educational structure to African-American males in search of their goals," said Roosevelt Mareus, REOC Executive Director.

Operation Transformation also sponsors empowerment seminars and mentoring programs providing encouragement and support.
