Professional athletes and others gave their two cents about how to live healthy on Thursday.
Healthy Family Night at John Williams School #5 boasted physical events, nutritious snacks, healthy living information and basket giveaways.
Community representatives were there to help with healthy living information. They hope to inspire the prevention of child obesity and get the kids excited about being healthy.
Step one: educating the kids to educate their parents.
"It's important to educate the kids because the kids will say, 'no, mom, this is what we need to do' so the whole family can get on board," said Kenya Jamison, parent.
Kids that wanted to have some fun took part in a variety of exercises, and everyone left with a healthy snack or two.
