Fire Crews Called to Same House Twice

  • Text size: + -

A small fire damaged the outside of a Rochester duplex early Thursday morning. It happened on Norton Street around 5 a.m.

Firefighters say it was actually the second time they were called to the home overnight. The first call was for the report of an unusual odor. Firefighters found what they call a "small burn" on the outside of the home. They do not know what caused it.

The second call came in as a house fire and when firefighters got there they found a small fire on the outside of the home. The fire was put out quickly and the inside of the duplex was not damaged.

No one was home at the time of the fire. No word yet on a cause.
