Friends and family welcomed 12 local soldiers home for the holidays.

The Army National Guard members were deployed to Kuwait nearly a year ago for Operation Enduring Freedom.

They are all part of the same 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team.

For family members of these dozen soldiers.. just having them home is the best Christmas present of all.

"We have a tradition at our house. We don't decorate the tree until all four of us are home. Isaac, the soldier that just returned, and his younger brother Aaron. And this year, we're gonna have all four of us to decorate the tree, which is pretty incredible," said father Andy Scott.

These soldiers along with 120 other men from the Infantry are returning home to communities around they state including Rochester and Buffalo. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
