Downtown Rochester was filled with reindeer antlers Saturday morning as more than one thousand people took part in the first ever Rochester Reindeer Run.
The run started on Pitkin and Broad streets, went down the Inner Loop and finished at the museum. The first one thousand people to register were given reindeer antlers to wear during the run.
The event served as a benefit for The Strong.
The Reindeer Run also served as the graduation race for Fleet Feet Sports’ Learn to Run program, in which 300 people have been training for the last three months for the event.
Ellen Brenner-Boutillier, Event Producer, said, "This is our first year for the Reindeer Run in Rochester, New York. It's the largest first time 5K in the area with 14 hundred registered, all on the Inner Loop."
The Reindeer Run was sponsored by Fleet Feet Sports and YellowJaket Racing.
