Hundreds of people will walk in Ontario Beach Park Saturday to defeat ALS.
The yearly walk is dedicated to finding the cause and cure of the fatal neuromuscular disease also known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
More than 30,000 Americans now living with ALS will die from the disease unless a cure is found.
The ALS Foundation is funded solely by donations. It offers services to people with the disease and their families free of charge.
The Association helps enhance quality of life while looking for treatments.
Rochester's ALS walk is Saturday morning at eleven at Ontario Beach Park.
