An Allegany County man died in a two-car crash in Livonia on Friday, according to the Livingston County Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at the intersection of Stone Hill Road and Route 15A around 10:30 a.m. Friday.
Investigators say a van traveling westbound on Stone Hill Road failed to stop at a stop sign. The van then struck an SUV.
The driver of the van, 58-year old Gary Anderson of Fillmore, and a 15-year-old passenger were thrown from the vehicle. Anderson was pronounced dead.
Two people in the second vehicle, 79-year-old Richard McAvoy and his wife, 88-year-old Betty McAvoy were trapped and had to be freed by rescuers. They were both taken by ambulance to Strong Hospital.
The Allegany Town of Granger confirmed Gary Anderson was the town's justice.
