Fairport Road is now open after an early morning fire at an office park.

The fire was reported at about 4 a.m. at an office building that houses Alouette Tool Company at 1387 Fairport Road.

Fairport firefighters responded, along with several other nearby fire companies.

Kevin Brogan, whose business was damaged by the fire said, "It was a total shock and then you think how are we going to let our customers know--it is going to take a good week to get it up and running again.”

"The hardest part really is that we could not access the building internally so we had to flow a lot of water through the ladder pipes. We had to get water down from Fairport rd and second line came from the village," said Fairport Fire Chief John Welker.

No one was inside the business at the time of the fire and no firefighters were injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
