Rochester police are investigating a shooting that sent two men to the hospital with what are described as life-threatening injuries.
Police say they were initially called for a report of a fight at a bar on South Plymouth Avenue and Coulton Place shortly after one o'clock. When they arrived they heard the shots fired from inside the bar. They say one of the men was shot in the lower body and the other in the torso. Police are unsure whether or not the men were apart of the fight that took place inside the bar.
“It does not appear as though there were any shots fired outside. Part of the reason we had everything taped off is because initially we weren't sure whether or not stuff had occurred outside. So our practice is to lock everything down until we can determine what occurred and then once we were sure we started releasing everything,” said Captain Wayne Harris,Rochester Police Department.
Paramedics transferred the men to Strong Memorial hospital with what are described as life threatening injuries. Police are continuing to search for suspects.
