On Tuesday, the State Court of Appeals will hear the case of a former University of Rochester student from the Albany area who was convicted of killing his father.
Christopher Porco was convicted in 2006 of killing his father and attempting to kill his mother with an axe. Porco was a student at the University of Rochester at the time.
A New York State Appellate Division court looked at the appeal based on questionable identification by Joan Porco of her son as her attacker.
Christopher Porco is currently serving a life sentence.
