BUFFALO, N.Y. — The Buffalo Music Hall of Fame's 28th induction class was announced Wednesday.
The 10 inductees include polka band leader Ron Urbanczyk, and local and national jingle writer David Helfman Lucas, who has worked with such musicians as Paul McCartney and Ray Charles.
“These guys are important. They’re the soul of what happens in Buffalo with the musical heritage. They have held the music together. They have done great things which makes Buffalo different from every other music city around,” said Rick Mathews, president of the Buffalo Music Hall of Fame.
The induction gala will be held Thursday, October 6 at Tralf Music Hall.
