LOCKPORT, N.Y. — Two people were hospitalized Thursday night after a car crash which police in Niagara County say was caused by a drunk driver.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to Dysinger Road in Lockport on Thursday last night, and found two juveniles who had been hit by a car while walking.

One of the victims was taken to Women and Children’s Hospital. The other was flown by helicopter to Erie County Medical Center.

Deputies say the driver of the car that hit them, 36-year-old Amy Schumacher of Gasport, was intoxicated. She’s charged with DWI, and police say further charges are pending. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
